IHOP’s new brand voice sounds an awful lot like a young teenage hip hop fan and it’s getting a lot of attention. IHOP’s twitter feed is filled with song lyrics, pop culture references and popular slang (fleek, anyone?) and while some may say it’s an inauthentic ploy to connect with youth, the marketers behind IHOP’s Twitter page insists that it is working.
Either way, it makes us laugh and that has to count for something, right?
